Join the City Innovators Forum for the Global City Innovation Accelerator: Driving Innovation through 2021 and Beyond, convened by the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard. This virtual event is designed for city leaders and higher-level staff in civic innovation, including IT and smart city programs, and will take place over three days, with each day focusing on one of three regions: US/Americas, Europe, Asia & Australia.
Our 3-day global summit will begin each day with a public 90-minute session beginning with opening remarks by senior Mayors and City Executives from each region. We will also hear a keynote from a leading city innovator followed by a panel of experts on our theme of accelerating innovation and strategies for 2021 and beyond.
The Summit continues with the second 90-minute session, which will be an invite-only, private roundtable of city experts. The roundtable will be a gathering of the best city innovators from across the globe and curated by Dr. David S. Ricketts, Innovation Fellow, Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard University. As part of the private session, we will also hear from several cities on their innovation journey in a unique, and fun format known as the Pecha Kucha format, which means “chit chat” in Japanese.
Additionally, we will be presenting the 2020 City Innovation and City Innovator Awards from the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard. These awards celebrate and acknowledge the exemplary work in city innovation across the globe by cities and individuals. Nominations are now being accepted for the awards.
